Account Manager - Commercial Insurance

About the role

The Account Manager will oversee a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring client retention and supporting new business growth. This remote position serves candidates in the Eastern or Central Time Zones, with occasional on‑site requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in commercial lines.
• Lead the daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations, renewals, and the renewal submission process.
• Monitor accounts receivable, collect delinquent balances, and ensure data accuracy in agency management systems.
• Communicate regularly with the account team about workload status and issues.
• Deliver proactive, high‑quality service and adhere to company policies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active P&C license; professional designation (CIC) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
