Account Development Specialist – William Grant

About the role

The Account Development Specialist for William Grant will act as the sales lead for an assigned portfolio of accounts, driving revenue and market share for the brand. The role focuses on increasing share and velocity through brand activations, relationship building, and market insights.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue and market share of the assigned portfolio, spending 80% of working time in market.
• Serve as expert consultant for beverage and marketing strategies, presenting new products and conducting monthly business reviews.
• Plan and execute high‑end consumer activations within key accounts to raise category awareness.
• Gather and report real‑time market insights, organize field intel, and collaborate with on‑premise and retail sales teams.
• Develop and deliver training modules for sales teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Manage merchandising objectives, POS placement, and distribution across the account base.
• Conduct staff education and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of sales or industry experience with category expertise.
• Relevant certifications (CSS, WSET Spirits Level 2, whiskey/tequila/sake/beer certifications, or Fine Wine accreditation).
• Valid driver’s license and proficient PC skills (MS Office, presentation software).
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving abilities; ability to work independently or in a team.

Required skills

• CSS Certification or WSET Spirits Level 2.
• Category‑specific certifications (Whiskey, Tequila, Sake, Beer, Fine Wine).
• Proficient use of MS Office and presentation software.
• Valid driver’s license.
