ABE/HSE Instructor – Clarke/Day Reporting Center

About the role

The ABE/HSE Instructor will work at the Clarke/Day Reporting Center of Athens Technical College, delivering adult education programs that support student success. This position focuses on designing individualized learning plans and providing instruction in reading, mathematics, and language.

Key responsibilities

• Identify student goals and design appropriate programs to address them.
• Conduct assessments in reading, mathematics, and language to determine academic strengths and weaknesses.
• Develop individualized plans of study for each participant.
• Plan and deliver effective adult education instruction based on curriculum guides and learner needs.
• Create lessons that require higher‑order thinking skills.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and adjust programs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Business Education, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred and familiarity with adult education systems within the Technical College System of Georgia.
