Workday Business Systems Analyst – People Systems

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Workday Business Systems Analyst to join its People Systems team. You will own the technical configuration, testing, and operational excellence of Workday HRIS across Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking (PATT) and core HCM domains. The role blends strategic guidance with hands‑on delivery, driving improvements that make People Systems more effective.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain payroll components, earnings, deductions, pay groups and payroll business processes.
• Set up and manage absence plans, accrual rules, eligibility criteria and leave types.
• Design time‑tracking templates, validations, work schedules, calendars and overtime calculations.
• Maintain core HCM foundations such as supervisory organizations, staffing models, job profiles, compensation structures and worker data integrity.
• Support annual People cycles, including compensation review, open enrollment and large‑scale org restructures.
• Build and maintain business process definitions, condition rules, calculated fields, custom validations, routing/approval logic and notifications.
• Partner with Payroll to troubleshoot configuration‑driven payroll issues, retro calculations and off‑cycle errors.
