Web Engineering Manager

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team that builds and operates anthropic.com and claude.com, the primary brand web surfaces that introduce users to Claude and Anthropic. The role sits within Brand Creative and works closely with design, editorial, marketing, and product growth engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a small senior web engineering team, providing coaching, hiring, and setting quality standards.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for anthropic.com and claude.com, covering CMS architecture, publishing workflow, performance, SEO, localization, design system, deployment pipeline, on‑call duties, and incident response.
• Lead launch engineering for model, product, and campaign releases, delivering high‑quality pages under tight timelines.
• Build internal brand tooling and integrations that enable designers, writers, and marketers to publish safely without engineering bottlenecks.
• Partner with design and editorial to create data visualizations, interactive explainers, and campaign experiences that require custom engineering.
• Align web engineering initiatives with Marketing, Product, Communications, and core Engineering, prioritizing work that drives brand and business goals.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years managing engineers, preferably in a marketing, brand, or design‑focused organization.
• Proven track record of owning a high‑traffic marketing or brand website end‑to‑end, including CMS, frontend, infrastructure, and publishing workflow.
• Strong hands‑on frontend expertise and a preference for staying close to the code.
• Experience building tooling that empowers non‑engineers to work faster and more safely.
• Demonstrated ability to ship under launch pressure with cross‑functional partners while maintaining quality.
