About the role
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Florida invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position starting August 16, 2026. This nine‑month, non‑tenure‑accruing appointment is limited to a maximum of two academic years.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses with a typical 2‑2 load (potentially 2‑1 based on demand).
- Engage actively in departmental research activities and collaborate with faculty.
- Contribute to departmental service as needed.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated promise in both research and teaching.
- Research interests that can complement existing faculty strengths.
