Vice President of Engineering

About the role

Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation seeks a Vice President of Engineering to lead all engineering, process development, and technical operations at its high‑volume heavy industrial foundry in Columbia, PA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering, tooling design, metallurgical processes, quality engineering, continuous improvement, capital projects, and cross‑functional technical support.
• Drive productivity, throughput, safety, product integrity, and operational efficiency across casting and machining operations.
• Guide a team of engineers while partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
• Develop and execute engineering strategy to support operational excellence and long‑term growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, preferably in a foundry.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing technical teams.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of casting processes (sand, investment, permanent mold).
• Experience with solidification modeling software such as MAGMA, ProCAST, and FLOW‑3D.
• Knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, and material properties.
• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
