Vascular Surgeon – Physician

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Vascular Surgeon to join its growing vascular program in Covington, Louisiana. The position offers a busy clinical practice with both open and endovascular procedures within a collaborative, community‑based setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a full spectrum of vascular surgeries including aortic, femoral, popliteal bypasses, carotid endarterectomy, amputations, wound exploration/debridement, and venous procedures.
• Maintain a clinic‑based schedule with dedicated operating‑room time and participate in weekly call rotation and hospital consults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of radiologists, pathologists, pulmonologists, surgeons, oncologists and nurse navigators to develop customized patient care plans.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Vascular Surgery.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care and ability to thrive in a collaborative community practice environment.

Required skills

• Open vascular surgery techniques.
• Endovascular procedures.
• Aortic/femoral/popliteal bypass surgery.
• Carotid endarterectomy.
• Amputation and wound debridement.
• Venous interventions.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
