USAC Applications Analyst

About the role

The USAC Applications Analyst supports 3M manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada. You will work closely with the USAC Applications Leadership team to shape long‑term strategy while delivering day‑to‑day IT services across multiple plants.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with USAC Applications Leadership on long‑term strategy.
• Support short‑term IT strategic direction and operating plans for plants of varying size and complexity.
• Provide input for budgeting and IT‑related spending.
• Maintain corporate and regional technology standards, processes, and equipment.
• Collaborate and communicate IT activities, resources, and policies across multiple sites.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for a broad spectrum of applications and support diverse project teams.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED with six years of IT or Supply Chain experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience.
• At least two years of experience with Microsoft SQL.
• Expert knowledge of manufacturing systems and familiarity with networking, server & storage, applications, and data warehousing.
• Strong understanding of corporate/plant policies, change management, and conflict resolution.
• Hands‑on IT experience in a manufacturing environment, including PMCS NT/OPRA NT, IMES, and PowerBuilder.
• Project management experience and ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
