Threat Intel Manager, Model Exploitation & Fraud

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a Threat Intel Manager to lead its Model Exploitation & Fraud mission within the Threat Intelligence group. The role will define strategy, build a team of technical investigators, and develop the processes and partnerships needed to detect, investigate, and disrupt large‑scale abuse of Anthropic’s AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define the strategy, priorities and outcomes for the Model Exploitation & Fraud area, including what is detected, investigated, acted upon and shared.
• Hire, manage and develop a small team of technical threat investigators, setting quality standards for casework and intelligence reporting.
• Lead complex investigations into model distillation, unauthorized AI usage, account abuse, and fraud/scam networks, partnering with senior investigators.
• Redesign triage for a high‑volume detection pipeline, collaborating with investigators and engineering to build abuse signals, clustering and investigation workflows.
• Expand coverage into fraud and scams by creating detection and investigation playbooks from scratch.
• Own external engagement programs, including regular interaction with U.S. government agencies.

Required profile

• Proven ability to independently lead complex technical investigations.
• Experience hiring, managing and developing technical investigation teams.
• Strong understanding of external black‑market ecosystems and how they intersect with AI systems.
• Willingness to handle explicit content and respond to escalations during weekends and holidays.
