Temporary On-Call Visitor Experience Associate

About the role

The Skirball Cultural Center is looking for a friendly, reliable associate to join its Visitor Experience team on a temporary, on‑call basis. After a two‑day paid training period, you will work as needed during regular operating hours, providing a warm welcome and smooth service to visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and engage visitors professionally, creating a positive first impression.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of exhibitions, programs, policies, and ticketing procedures.
• Process box‑office sales, generate will‑call lists, and handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with security, porters, and volunteers to ensure smooth lobby operations.
• Track daily receipts, prepare routine reports, and resolve any transaction errors.
• Share visitor feedback and activity reports with management and address issues with guidance from supervisors.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Interest in interacting with families and diverse audiences throughout the day.
• Reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Basic math ability for cash handling and reporting.
• Fluency in spoken Spanish is preferred.
