Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead infrastructure initiatives that power its AI research and product services. You will coordinate complex, cross‑functional programs that span developer productivity, reliability, and operations, ensuring the platform scales safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cross‑functional programs to improve developer environments, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes while maintaining security standards.
• Lead large‑scale migrations and platform modernization efforts across engineering teams.
• Partner with teams to measure and improve developer productivity metrics, identifying bottlenecks and implementing systematic improvements.
• Integrate AI tools into development workflows to advance AI‑assisted research and engineering.
• Establish and achieve reliability targets for training infrastructure and production services.
• Coordinate incident‑response improvements, post‑mortem processes, and on‑call rotations.
• Create metrics and dashboards to monitor infrastructure health, capacity utilization, and operational excellence.
• Serve as the bridge between infrastructure, research, and product teams, translating technical complexities into clear updates.
• Consult stakeholders to understand compute and data needs, aligning priorities and timelines across competing constraints.

Required profile

• 5+ years of technical program management experience with a proven record of delivering complex, organization‑wide programs.
• Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous environments and make teams more effective.
• Strong partnership skills with engineering leadership and the ability to align research, engineering, and product objectives.
• Experience driving reliability, incident response, and developer productivity initiatives.
