Technical Architectural Drafter – Consulting

About the role

Outfit Home Inc, a California‑based residential interior design studio, is looking for an experienced Technical Architectural Drafter or Documentation Consultant to work on a consulting basis. The role starts with several days per week to produce complete drawing packages for contractor pricing and construction, then shifts to a few hours per week for revisions, coordination, and on‑site support.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural drawing sets from design direction.
• Develop custom millwork, cabinetry, and furniture drawings ready for fabrication.
• Prepare construction documents suitable for contractor pricing and fabrication.
• Collaborate with the design team to refine furniture layouts and ensure functional circulation.
• Conduct occasional site visits to verify conditions, take measurements, and document existing conditions.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and incorporate consultant feedback throughout each project.
• Work closely with the principal designer to translate design intent into clear, buildable documentation.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience producing construction documents for high‑end residential projects.
• Thorough understanding of custom millwork and cabinetry detailing.
• Familiarity with residential construction methods and fabrication processes.
• Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a remote design team.
