Teaching Associate – Electrical & Computer Engineering

About the role

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Fresno State is seeking graduate students to serve as Teaching Associates for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Teaching Associates will act as instructors of record for introductory courses such as ECE1, ECE85L, and ECE90L, delivering lectures and laboratory sessions while supporting student learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and laboratory instruction for assigned ECE courses.
• Prepare and organize course materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate student work, assign grades, and provide feedback.
• Maintain regular office hours to assist students outside of class.
• Participate in TA orientation and departmental assessment activities.

Required profile

• Admission to the Electrical and Computer Engineering Master’s program at Fresno State.
• Eligibility for TA appointment and sufficient departmental funding.
• Ability to work up to 20 hours per week (maximum 7.5 units).
• Commitment to teaching beginning ECE courses during Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
