About the role

The Teaching Assistant supports the lead teacher in delivering Montessori education to students from infancy through 8th grade, helping create a nurturing, child‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the lead teacher with lesson planning and execution.
  • Assist with classroom schedule and room arrangements.
  • Maintain neat and inviting bulletin boards in classrooms and hallways.
  • Help students with meals, toileting, and hand washing.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.
  • Maintain positive relationships with families and address parental concerns.
  • Apply knowledge of child development and preschool educational needs.
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous early‑childhood teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
  • Bilingual ability preferred; English required.
