About the role
The Teacher Assistant will support the classroom teacher at Senath Head Start, handling daily operations, bus duty, and other tasks as needed. This full‑time position ensures a safe and engaging environment for young children.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out duties according to Head Start Performance Standards and program policies.
- Assist the classroom teacher and stay actively involved in classroom operations.
- Support assessments and screenings as directed.
- Ensure no child is left alone and maintain appropriate voice tone with children, families, staff, and the public.
- Perform data entry tasks as required.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent and CDA certification.
- Experience working with young children and low‑income families.
