Tax Consultant – Innovation Funding (R&D Credits)

About the role

Leyton is seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join its Innovation Funding team in the United States. You will act as a financial advisor for clients, helping them identify, assess, and claim R&D tax credits and other innovation incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate client eligibility for R&D tax incentives and other innovation funding programs.
• Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the credit study and claim process.
• Prepare, review, and submit federal and state tax credit claims with full compliance.
• Analyze client financials to uncover additional incentive opportunities and improve cash flow.
• Engage with tax authorities to defend or clarify claims when required.
• Support business development by identifying prospects and contributing to pitch presentations.
• Stay current on U.S. tax legislation and incentive regulations and inform clients of relevant updates.
• Track invoicing and ensure timely payment from clients.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in R&D tax incentive consulting.
• Background in accounting, finance, or business.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
