Tax Analyst

About the role

As a Tax Analyst you will support premium tax, assessment and income tax compliance for a publicly‑traded company. The role combines detailed tax filings, general‑ledger work and research in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare periodic premium tax and assessment filings using detailed Excel calculations.
• Gather and analyze data from multiple systems and maintain organized workpapers.
• Perform complex general‑ledger entries, reconciliations and support federal, state and local income‑tax compliance.
• Assist with quarterly and annual GAAP and STAT tax provisions, deferred tax analyses, R2P adjustments and intercompany settlements.
• Research and interpret state tax regulations and contribute to continuous improvement of tools and processes.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, corporate tax or a related field.
• Experience with ASC 740 income‑tax provisions and work for a NYSE or NASDAQ listed company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Tax preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of ASC 740.
• Familiarity with general‑ledger software.
