Systems Administrator – IT Infrastructure & Support

About the role

Astute Technology Management is seeking a Systems Administrator to serve as the primary escalation point for Level I and II technicians and ensure client environments run securely and efficiently. The role blends independent problem‑solving with collaborative mentorship in a fast‑paced IT services setting.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main escalation resource for complex network and server issues, guiding junior staff.
• Design, configure, and maintain client network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot advanced Windows and macOS desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and servers.
• Manage virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V, VMWare) and cloud services (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365).
• Oversee data migrations, user provisioning, and security compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and conduct network audits to recommend reliability and security improvements.
• Handle support tickets from initiation to resolution, delivering professional client‑facing service.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in network and server management with increasing responsibility.
• Minimum 2 years of help‑desk experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with clients.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 and Windows Server operating systems.
• Hyper‑V and VMWare virtualization.
• Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint Online and Exchange Online.
