System Administrator

About the role

Unlimited Technology is seeking a System Administrator to support a large Federal Physical Security Access Control and Video system. The role is based onsite in Albuquerque, NM and focuses on maintaining and optimizing critical IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily system health, performance, and security, including intrusion detection.
• Implement and manage comprehensive backup and data retention strategies.
• Handle user lifecycle processes and access control administration.
• Deploy system updates, patches, and configuration enhancements.
• Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, and hardware/environmental monitoring.
• Support specialized security and video management platforms.
• Respond rapidly to incidents, execute recovery procedures, and collaborate with technical teams on complex issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant systems experience, or an Associate degree with five years, or an equivalent combination.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and capable of working independently.
• Willingness to work onsite in the Albuquerque area.

Required skills

• Proficiency in enterprise Windows environments.
• Active Directory management.
• Experience with Cisco network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise solutions.
• Knowledge of specialized security platforms and video management systems.
