Supply Chain Buyer – Multiple Levels

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking experienced purchasing professionals to join its new office in Heredia, Costa Rica. The Buyer will support state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities by acquiring the materials, supplies, machinery and services needed for semiconductor production.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase materials, supplies, machinery and services for manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to monitor inventory and schedule deliveries.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Procure essential items that enable product development and customer delivery.
• Maintain accurate records in SAP ERP and MRP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, Business, Engineering or related STEM field (preferred but not required).
• 1‑6+ years of purchasing experience, depending on the level (Buyer I, II, III).
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience with SAP ERP, MRP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
