Supply Chain Buyer Internship – 2027 (Costa Rica)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking interns for its Global Supply Chain Department in 2027. Interns will support procurement and purchasing activities, helping ensure timely delivery of materials while meeting cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Complete supplier request for quotations (RFQs) and work with suppliers on obsolescence compliance.
• Prepare supplier profiles, perform part analytics, and interact with suppliers on cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Support Supplier Account Managers with meetings, presentations, quarterly business reviews, and capacity reviews.
• Perform buyer functions such as creating, rescheduling, and cancelling purchase orders, expediting material, and resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Develop automated tools for KPI follow‑up and conduct MRP and spend analytics to optimize business practices.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, commitment to quality, and excellent communication skills.
• Flexible, adaptable mindset thriving in a results‑driven culture.
