Structures/Bridge Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Structures/Bridge Engineer to join our transportation team in Salt Lake City. In this role you will design, evaluate, and analyze highway, railroad, and pedestrian bridges, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and analyze highway, railroad, pedestrian bridges, and other transportation structures.
• Prepare design documents, quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Collaborate with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on schedule and within budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs.
• Perform or review bridge designs using CSi Bridge, MIDAS, VBent, PG Super, LEAP, BRASS, Mathcad, or other bridge software.
• Design or check retaining walls and other structural components supporting roadway or site civil projects.
• Help build a strong regional presence in transportation and structural engineering.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 4–8 years of bridge design experience.
• Willingness to work on local projects and collaborate with other offices; occasional travel required.
• Experience with design‑build and alternative delivery methods is a plus.
