Strategist, Agent Development - Public Sector

About the role

The Agent Strategist owns the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Sierra’s AI agents for public‑sector customers, turning complex, high‑stakes problems into production‑ready conversational solutions. You will work closely with agency leaders, technical teams and policy experts to design, launch and continuously improve agents that serve citizens and government officials.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Agent Development Life Cycle from scope, conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch to ongoing iteration.
• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to public‑sector leaders, defining success metrics and shaping AI strategy.
• Run cross‑functional working sessions with program, operations, technology, security, legal and procurement stakeholders to keep deployments on track.
• Identify new use‑cases, create roadmaps for multilingual and proactive agents, and influence product roadmap.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading multiple complex, high‑visibility initiatives to measurable outcomes.
• Technical aptitude to engage with API documentation, data models, system architecture and security trade‑offs.
• Strong commitment to public service and understanding of government procurement and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills across executive, policy and technical audiences.
• Strategic problem‑solving ability in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
