About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to shape the consumer experience of Claude, its flagship AI product. You will work on the web and desktop interfaces that millions of users interact with daily, turning powerful models into delightful, reliable products.

Key responsibilities

Define technical direction for Claude’s product features and overall architecture.
Design, build, and ship user‑facing components for the web and desktop experiences.
Maintain a high quality bar for visual design, latency, responsiveness, and reliability.
Partner closely with product managers and designers to translate user needs into shippable features.
Iterate quickly based on feedback, continuously improving the product.

Required profile

5+ years of experience building consumer‑facing web products with a strong focus on UI quality.
Passion for user experience, including performance, reliability, and cross‑device consistency.
Effective collaboration with designers and product managers in an iterative development process.
