Staff+ Software Engineer, Enterprise Knowledge Work

About the role

Anthropic is building the next generation of AI‑powered tools for enterprise knowledge workers. As a Staff+ Software Engineer on the Enterprise Knowledge Work team, you will shape both the product vision and the technical architecture that lets large organizations collaborate with Claude across their core workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end technical design and delivery of enterprise‑facing core products across the full stack.
• Partner with product, design, and go‑to‑market teams to translate enterprise customer workflows into shipped features.
• Set architectural standards, code quality guidelines, and development processes for the team.
• Engage directly with enterprise customers and sales to turn feedback into engineering priorities.
• Collaborate with research to improve domain‑specific model performance, define evaluations, and surface failure modes.
• Mentor engineers, raise the technical bar, and influence cross‑team alignment.
• Build foundational primitives that enable knowledge workers across industries to leverage Claude effectively.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level.
• Proven track record delivering complex, customer‑facing products across the full stack.
• Experience building AI‑driven products and turning model capabilities into usable applications.
• Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers and translating insights into technical decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to launch products from 0 to 1 in fast‑moving environments and set technical direction with limited precedent.
• Strong influence skills to drive cross‑team alignment and ship impactful work.
