Staff Frontend Engineer (AI Security Platform)

About the role

As a Staff Frontend Engineer at Cogent, you will own the frontend platform that lets customers visualize, understand, and act on complex security data. You will set technical direction for a brand‑new AI‑enabled platform and ship high‑impact customer‑facing features.

Key responsibilities

• Define the core frontend architecture and patterns for long‑term scalability and performance.
• Create reusable “golden” component libraries and tooling that standardize quality across the team.
• Design and deliver AI‑driven, user‑focused features that simplify complex security workflows.
• Mentor and influence other frontend engineers, helping build a team around the foundations you create.
• Champion engineering craftsmanship, balancing speed with sustainable, high‑quality code.

Required profile

• Previously operated at a Staff, Senior Staff, or Principal frontend level.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern web application architecture.
• Strong background in frontend infrastructure such as component libraries, build systems, state management, and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and own projects end‑to‑end.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in fast‑paced environments.
