About the role
As a Staff Electronics Design Engineer focused on Zonal ECU development, you will lead the creation of next‑generation battery‑management and power‑distribution hardware for software‑defined vehicles. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment that blends electrical engineering expertise with automotive innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full hardware design lifecycle from concept through schematic capture, PCB layout, validation and production.
- Design, prototype and validate low‑voltage zonal control modules for automotive applications.
- Address power‑electronics challenges such as solid‑state eFUSE design, distributed power management, PMIC design, power sequencing and MCU allocation.
- Ensure signal integrity and interface compatibility across CAN, SPI, Ethernet, and analog/digital I/O.
- Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, vehicle dynamics, manufacturing, validation and supply‑chain teams.
- Integrate new components (microcontrollers, high‑side drivers, motor drivers) and work with suppliers on custom solutions.
- Apply EMC best practices, conduct root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting and failure investigations on PCB assemblies.
- Support system integration and validation across Proto, EVT, DVT and vehicle‑level testing.
- Maintain compliance with functional‑safety and regulatory standards such as ISO 26262 and FUSA.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of electronic hardware design experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong foundation in EE fundamentals; experience with electromechanical systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive hardware/software development life cycles and Tier‑1 supplier processes.
