Solutions Architect, Special Operations

About the role

Cape is building America’s most private and secure mobile carrier and needs a Solutions Architect to lead engagements with federal customers. You will translate privacy‑focused technology into real‑world deployments for mission‑critical users.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end engagement with new or early‑stage federal customers, understanding their challenges and deploying Cape’s technology on‑site.
• Cultivate relationships at all seniority levels, navigate bureaucratic hurdles, and deliver executive presentations to secure buy‑in.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to align product direction with customer realities and influence resource allocation.
• Lead product rollout and integration at customer locations, acting as the technical implementation point of contact.
• Make autonomous decisions while leveraging engineering expertise to ensure successful execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Active U.S. TS/SCI clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and be based in Washington, DC or North Carolina (relocation assistance available).
• Experience in enterprise sales, preferably with early‑stage defense‑focused companies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Networking fundamentals: IP addressing/subnetting, NAT, routing, switching, core network functions.
• Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark.
• Ability to develop and tailor scripts or technical solutions for deployments.
• Domain experience in cyber operations, privacy, security, or telecommunications.
• Automation of repetitive technical tasks.
