Solutions Architect

About the role

Code Metal is seeking a Solutions Architect to bridge customer needs, technical strategy, and growth. The role shapes ambiguous opportunities into credible system architectures and executable plans, leading technical discovery and proof-of-concept execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with customers to define mission, constraints, decision criteria and Code Metal’s role.
• Design and evaluate candidate system architectures through trade studies, feasibility assessments and technical spikes.
• Translate ambiguous problems into technical approaches, system concepts, success criteria, statements of work and proposal content.
• Own the technical shape of proofs of concept, scoping work, defining interfaces, success criteria and guiding Solutions Engineers.
• Collaborate across growth, Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, product, core engineering and research to align commitments with product roadmap.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical discovery and shaping solution architectures, evaluations or proofs of concept.
• Strong technical background in computer science, engineering, physics or related field.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar domains and synthesize new technical information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of leading architecture discussions and producing clear proposals.
• Self-starter with ability to operate independently and willingness to travel 20‑40% to customer sites.
