Solar Solutions Design Manager

About the role

SkySpecs is expanding into the solar market and needs a subject‑matter expert to bridge sales, product, and operations. As the Solar Solutions Design Manager you will guide customers from discovery through implementation and ensure a high‑quality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Join discovery and qualification calls as a solar expert, ask technical and commercial questions, and shape solution proposals and scopes of work.
• Develop pricing models and preventative maintenance programs that align with customer value and internal requirements.
• Lead technical demos for prospects, highlighting key capabilities and value propositions.
• Support onboarding and implementation with Customer Success, advising on inspection workflows, data hand‑over, reporting and ongoing operations.
• Partner with Delivery and Operations teams to troubleshoot issues, refine workflows and improve service delivery playbooks.
• Translate customer use‑cases into clear product and operational requirements, identify gaps, and propose enhancements.
• Create reusable assets such as discovery frameworks, use‑case libraries, implementation checklists and enablement materials.

Required profile

• Deep technical understanding of utility‑scale solar asset management and field operations.
• Experience working directly with solar developers, IPPs, asset owners or O&M providers, preferably in a solution‑sales or technical customer‑facing role.
• Hands‑on exposure to onboarding, implementation or service delivery of solar technology, data or software solutions.
• Strong ability to translate customer workflows into structured product and delivery requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to lead discovery calls and training sessions.

What we offer

• Base salary dependent on experience and location.
• Variable sales target component.
