Software Engineer – Telematics

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer specialized in Telematics to develop high‑performance embedded software for our next‑generation electric vehicles. The role focuses on modern C++ and/or Rust development within resource‑constrained environments, ensuring robust, secure communication across vehicle networks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using Modern C++ (C++20+) and, where applicable, Rust.
• Write comprehensive unit tests with GTest and GMock and enforce coding standards.
• Implement and optimise operating‑system concepts such as memory management, concurrency and multi‑threading for embedded platforms.
• Work with embedded databases, TCP/IP stacks and middleware components (NATs, MQTT, HTTPS, gRPC) and integrate data‑serialization technologies like Protocol Buffers.
• Implement communication protocols and security standards including mTLS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with Rust.
• Strong background in distributed systems, networking protocols (NATs, MQTT, HTTPS, gRPC) and Linux‑based development.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
