About the role

Sierra is building the next generation of customer‑facing AI agents. As a Software Engineer, Product you will help design and ship core platform components that make AI agents conversational, reliable, and easy to integrate.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement primitives for steerable, verifiable AI agents, keeping future LLM evolution in mind.
• Develop retrieval pipelines that ground answers in a customer’s knowledge base and handle clarification dialogs.
• Design evaluation frameworks that measure agent quality and enable customers to improve performance.
• Build voice integration that delivers lifelike conversations with low latency.
• Create simulation and benchmarking tools to test agents against real‑world scenarios.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on experience building production products and systems.
• Strong motivation and high agency to drive outcomes in a high‑autonomy culture.
• Alignment with Sierra’s values of trust, customer obsession, craftsmanship, intensity, and family balance.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
