Software Engineer, Platform

About the role

As a Software Engineer on the Platform team, you will help build Sierra’s core platform that powers AI‑driven customer‑facing agents. You will design and implement the foundational systems that enable engineers and customers to create, orchestrate, and deploy reliable agents at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Build Sierra’s platform, focusing on the primitives that power agent development, orchestration, and deployment.
• Invent the foundations of agent development by designing runtime systems, developer tooling, and internal infrastructure for reliable, steerable agents.
• Enable engineers to move faster by creating tools and workflows that accelerate building and deploying agents across the company.

Required profile

• A passion for being on the frontier of AI products.
• Pride in building reliable, maintainable, and secure systems that scale.
• Motivation and high agency to drive outcomes in a high‑autonomy culture.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience building production systems.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
