Software Engineer, Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer, Infrastructure to design, build, and maintain the core systems that power Sierra’s AI platform. You will ensure the platform is secure, reliable, and scalable, enabling product teams to ship quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform and LLM inference serving as traffic grows.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure with Terraform for reproducible environments.
• Create a self‑serve infrastructure platform for engineering teams to deploy services.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and release management for fast, reliable deployments.
• Architect and operate distributed systems using databases, retrieval systems, and ML models.
• Develop core data‑serving abstractions and security features such as SSO and RBAC.
• Integrate the stack with enterprise customer environments at scale.
• Enhance observability (metrics, logging, tracing) and lead incident management.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience in technical products.
• Strong background in building automation, tooling, and maintainable platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, container orchestration, and incident response.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
