Software Engineer, Infrastructure

About the role

Serval is building an AI platform that automates complex IT workflows for modern enterprises. As a Software Engineer, Infrastructure you will design, implement, and operate the large‑scale distributed systems that power Serval’s AI agents and enable self‑hosted deployments for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate large‑scale distributed systems supporting AI agents, workflow orchestration, and data pipelines.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules to provision and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Build deployment packages, installation scripts, and templates that allow customers to self‑host Serval.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for enterprise self‑hosted deployments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and capacity planning.

Required profile

• 3+ years building and operating large‑scale distributed systems in production.
• Strong experience with Terraform and at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience packaging and supporting self‑hosted or on‑premises software for enterprise customers.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages for automation and tooling.
• Solid understanding of networking, databases, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
