Software Engineer III – Mobile Android – Maps Monetization

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Maps Monetization team, focusing on Android mobile experiences. You will help build and scale features that enable advertisers to reach users through Maps, working with cutting‑edge technologies and large‑scale data.

Key responsibilities

• Write high‑quality product and system code for Android applications.
• Participate in, and occasionally lead, design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
• Review code contributions from other engineers, ensuring adherence to style, testability, and performance standards.
• Collaborate across cross‑functional teams to integrate monetization features into Google Maps.
• Maintain and improve accessibility compliance for mobile experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Android application development experience.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD, strong background in data structures and algorithms, and experience building accessible technologies.
