Software Engineer – AI Agent for Tech, Media & Telecom

About the role

As a Software Engineer on the Tech, Media & Telecom team, you will design, build, and ship production‑grade AI agents that power critical customer‑facing experiences for leading brands. You will own the full lifecycle of these agents, from pilot to continuous iteration, ensuring they are reliable, performant, and revenue‑generating.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver production‑grade AI agents that operate at scale across industries such as finance, healthcare, and commerce.
• Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) with end‑to‑end ownership, defining best practices for building, tuning, and evolving agents in production.
• Partner directly with large enterprises and cutting‑edge startups to understand business challenges and embed AI agents throughout their stacks.
• Shape the future of Sierra’s core platform by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new tools, and collaborating with research and product teams.

Required profile

• Experience building and scaling end‑to‑end production systems.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
• A builder‑tinkerer mindset with high agency, finding creative ways to overcome obstacles.
• Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real‑world problems.
• Excellent communication skills, clear and persuasive across technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Passion for the Tech, Media & Telecom space and helping top brands build loyalty.

Required skills

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
