Software Engineer – AI Agent for Insurance

About the role

Sierra is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate production‑grade AI agents that help insurance customers file claims, get quotes, and resolve issues. You will work closely with large enterprises and innovative startups, translating real‑world problems into reliable, scalable AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship high‑performance AI agents that run in production across finance, healthcare, and commerce domains.
• Own the full Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) from pilot to continuous iteration, establishing best practices.
• Collaborate directly with enterprise leaders and cutting‑edge startups to understand business challenges and deliver AI‑driven outcomes.
• Shape Sierra’s core platform by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new tools, and partnering with research and product teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and scaling end‑to‑end production systems.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Genuine interest in financial services and improving customer experiences.
