Software Engineer – AI Agent for Financial Services

About the role

Sierra is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate production‑grade AI agents that serve financial‑services customers. You will work directly with large enterprises and innovative startups, shaping AI strategies that impact millions of end users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship highly performant, reliable AI agents that run in production across finance, healthcare, and commerce.
• Own the full Agent Development Life Cycle from pilot to deployment and continuous iteration.
• Partner with enterprise leaders and cutting‑edge startups to understand business challenges and deliver AI solutions at scale.
• Provide feedback from customers to guide the evolution of Sierra’s core AI platform, prototyping new tools and features.

Required profile

• Experience building and scaling end‑to‑end production systems.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
• Ability to work directly with customers to understand needs and deliver real‑world solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Genuine interest in financial services and improving the customer experience.

Required skills

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Familiarity with eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
• Knowledge of financial‑services security and compliance requirements (e.g., fair lending, PII handling) is a strong plus.
