Software Engineer, Agent Runtime

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to build the core systems that power customer‑facing AI agents. You will work on the Agent SDK, shaping how agents reason, act, and interact with users and external systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build the core systems that power agents, including the orchestration engine, runtime, and primitives.
• Design the agentic loop to create steerable, verifiable, yet conversational agents.
• Improve retrieval and grounding to ensure accurate, trustworthy responses.
• Develop evaluation frameworks that measure and enhance agent quality over time.

Required profile

• Passion for frontier AI products and strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Motivation and high agency to drive outcomes in a high‑autonomy culture.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience building production products and systems.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
