About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Skilled Tradesman/Structural Carpenter to join its Structural Services department. The role involves constructing, installing, and repairing a variety of building components while ensuring high quality and appearance.
Key responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair doors, stairs, roofs, partitions, walls, hardware, and fixtures.
- Perform repairs on office furniture, cabinets, and related items.
- Operate power hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the use of construction equipment such as forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of verifiable experience in skilled trades.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a vehicle.
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with power hand tools.
- Experience operating woodworking machinery.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment.
