Service Technician – Irving, TX

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to join our Irving, Texas team, ensuring that all building systems, grounds and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors and ensuring units are ready for new tenants.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and time spent on each task.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently on a variety of mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors and internal teams.
