Service Technician – Broadstone Ascend

About the role

This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety and overall functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb unaided and 50 lb with assistance, and work in all weather conditions.
• EPA Type 1 and Type 2 or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart where applicable.
