Senior/Staff Ultrasound System Engineer – Medical Device

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Ultrasound System Engineer to lead the design and development of next‑generation Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) products that improve patient outcomes worldwide. The role involves end‑to‑end system engineering, from concept through validation, in a collaborative, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and validate ultrasound imaging systems and subsystems.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and clinical engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and evaluate system architectures, signal‑processing performance, and overall functionality.
• Perform system‑level testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Translate marketing and customer requirements into engineering specifications while working with quality and regulatory teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an individual contributor developing complex systems, preferably in medical devices.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, integration, and testing.
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally in regulated environments and communicate effectively.
