Senior Web Designer

About the role

Anchour is seeking a Senior Web Designer to lead UI design for websites and eCommerce projects from concept through launch. You will create high‑fidelity, build‑ready designs for desktop and mobile, develop design systems, and ensure accessibility standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Own website UI design from concept to launch, including homepages, navigation, templates, and modular content blocks.
• Build and document design systems, component libraries, and design tokens for long‑term client use.
• Create high‑fidelity prototypes and deliver organized Figma files with implementation‑ready specs.
• Collaborate with UX, strategy, development, and marketing teams, and guide projects as the UI lead.
• Integrate AI tools into the design workflow and help the team develop AI fluency.

Required profile

• 5+ years of website design experience with full‑site delivery, preferably in an agency or studio.
• Strong portfolio of live, shipped websites demonstrating UI design, systems thinking, and accessibility.
• Low‑ego, collaborative mindset with a curiosity for AI‑enhanced design.
• Location in the Northeast (New England) is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Expertise in Figma and collaborative design workflows.
• Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, and design tokens.
• Familiarity with Shopify, WordPress, and AEM for handoff and implementation.
