Senior VoIP Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior VoIP Engineer to join our Quantico, VA team. The role focuses on managing and optimizing Cisco Unified Communication Manager clusters, ensuring reliable voice and video services across multiple locations for federal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, test, provision, and respond to emergencies for the voice network.
• Design, configure, and install VoIP hardware and software upgrades.
• Create and maintain VoIP documentation, including drawings, cut sheets, configurations, and deployment plans.
• Diagnose and resolve voice service issues and outages, including after‑hours incidents.
• Provide subject‑matter expert support to tenant agencies and coordinate with vendors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all VoIP devices.
• Stay current with emerging voice and video technologies and ensure compliance with STIGs and vulnerability mitigation.

Required profile

• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years designing, building, or maintaining communications systems, including 3+ years with Cisco Unified Communications Manager version 12 or newer.
• CCNP Collaboration (or 60 days to obtain) and DoD 8570 IAT‑II/IAM‑II certification.
