Senior Strategic Planning Analyst

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Senior Strategic Planning Analyst to provide independent analysis for service line growth initiatives and support operational and administrative leadership. The role combines data analytics, forecasting, and strategic insight to drive growth and improve decision‑making across the health system.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train, review, and validate work products of departmental staff while supporting professional development.
• Serve as a direct resource to operational management and administrative leadership on strategic initiatives, identifying growth opportunities, risks, and trends.
• Supervise special projects involving service line analysis, competitive demographics, and mapping.
• Leverage multiple data sources to mine, combine, and analyze large volumes of data, maintaining and validating databases.
• Produce standard daily, weekly, and monthly reporting packages and respond to ad‑hoc reporting requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, trending, forecasting, modeling, and reporting; healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make sound judgments.
