Senior / Staff Turbomachinery Systems Engineer

About the role

Antora Energy is developing thermal energy storage plants that provide zero‑carbon industrial heat and power at scale. The Senior / Staff Turbomachinery Systems Engineer will own the steam turbine system architecture for heat‑to‑power and combined heat‑and‑power projects, guiding design from concept through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead steam turbine system definition, sizing, and trade‑studies, balancing performance, cost, operability and reliability.
• Drive cross‑discipline integration of thermal, mechanical, process, electrical and controls scopes across the power island.
• Act as technical lead for turbine OEM and EPC engagements, including RFP development, bid evaluation and design reviews.
• Identify and implement AI‑enabled tools to accelerate trade‑studies, improve requirements traceability and streamline analysis.
• Support commissioning, performance testing and early‑stage operations, feeding field learnings back into future designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, systems engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in steam turbine systems design, architecture or major energy project execution.
• Proven ability to work across mechanical, electrical, thermal, fluids and controls disciplines.
• Hands‑on cycle modeling experience with Thermoflow, STEAM PRO, PEACE, Ebsilon or IPSEpro.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical interfaces with turbine OEMs or EPCs.
• Strong interest in applying AI tools to improve engineering workflows.
