Senior Software Developer – R&D Technical Staff

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a highly accomplished R&D Senior Member of Technical Staff to lead the design and delivery of complex, mission‑critical industrial automation software. You will work with C#.NET, Angular and Azure technologies to build scalable, reliable, and high‑performance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive architectural and technical decisions that balance scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead design, development, testing, and debugging of complex software systems.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools for code generation, unit‑test automation, and documentation.
• Create clear technical documentation describing design rationale and system behavior.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to plan and execute development priorities and provide actionable feedback.
• Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and help recruit top talent.
• Identify risks early, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure smooth delivery across the software lifecycle.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with AI‑assisted engineering tools and automated development workflows.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Azure AI Search, and cloud‑scale industrial automation solutions.
• Strong domain knowledge of industrial automation to influence architecture and product decisions.
• Proven ability to act as a technical mentor and lead medium‑scale initiatives.
